We are participating in a new project: BioRoboost – Fostering snythetic biology standardisation through international collaboration. The project aims set up an international collaborative network on synthetic biology standards. Synthetic biology as any other enginieering field relies on the use of well-defined, universal and robust standard components. However, defining biological standards have been difficult because of historical and technical reasons which BioRoboost intends to overcome.
Biofaction will work on ways to enhance biosafety and risk assessment in synthetic biology standards by organising two workshops and establishing a on-stop-shop for synbio biosafety standards.
